Terms of contract with Picnic Island Pty Ltd (owner)

Please also read the detailed Guest Manual which forms part of the contract:

•    Guest is responsible for any damage and repairs/replacement costs
•    Please report any damage or breakages prior to departure
•    There is no washing machine at the island
•    Stays on the property are at your own risk and you indemnify Picnic Island Pty Ltd Newton-Brown Super Trust and its directors and agents for any claims made against them not covered by insurance including while using any equipment provided for guest use
•    Public Liability insurance covers guests while actually on the island.  Picnic Island does not operate boat transport services to get to the island and accepts no liability for any loss incurred in the course of you travelling to and from the island, including while embarking and disembarking onto the jetty or shore.
•    Guests must engage a water taxi for transportation. 
•    Guests are not permitted to use their own boats to access the island. The jetty is unsuitable for mooring boats and damage can easily occur if boats are moored on it.
•    Guests may only traverse the island either on the rocky shore or on the pathways provided to protect the seabird burrows and to avoid dangerous cliffs.  Children should be supervised at all times. There are many dangers for small children.
•    Closed toe shoes should be worn when walking around the island to prevent injuries.
•    It is only possible to circumnavigate the island at very low tide.  The island title extends to the high-water mark.  Any traversing the intertidal zone is at your risk.

•    Guest must read the Guest Manual prior to arrival for further information that will be needed for your stay and the instructions in the Manual constitute further conditions of your stay


Other Terms & Conditions:

•    To confirm your reservation, we do require full payment upon booking.
•    Your booking is not confirmed until we have received your full payment.
•    You are required to read all information stated on the confirmation we send to you directly as we have important access information, confirmation of the dates, the number of guests, bedding requirements and allocations for you to confirm.
•    Please leave the house clean & tidy upon your departure, as there will be an extra cleaning fee charged if the house rules are not adhered to.
•    Guests are strictly not to access the property before the check-in time. The house may not be ready for you until the check in time of 3.30pm and check in time may vary subject to water taxi availability and weather
•    Check out time is 10am and this can usually never be changed due to our cleaning schedule but may need to be changed at discretion due to weather and boat access issues.
•    The accommodation is self-contained and not a serviced accommodation venue.
•    If guests are not ready to depart on time at 10am and have not arranged a late check out prior and cleaners are waiting to enter, the guest will be charged the extra cleaning time and the water taxi will also charge waiting time.
