The Corner Hotel Alexandra: Good Food; Good Service; Great Community. The historic Corner Hotel Alexandra is a family owned hotel on the main corner of Alexandra township. We have the best meals in town and offer clean, fresh, rennovated accommodation in a heritage pub style to suit all budgets, with premium rooms with en suites from $140 to basic accomodation from $45 per person. All Our rooms come with a FREE continental Breakfast available for every guest. Have a drink and local tasting plate in front of the fire, or a lazy lunch on the verandah or balcony. Our chips were voted 10/10 by the Herald Sun. Rooms priced from $90 to $195. Our accommodation consists of 11 rooms and a period guest lounge on the first floor of the hotel, opening onto a commanding historic balcony overlooking the main street and surrounding hills. We have rooms with tiled en suites, TVs, etc, down to a basic room with 2 singles for $90 per night. Note that some rooms can be noisy on weekends if the bar is busy or a band is playing - please check with us before booking if you are concerned. Our $90 rooms are priced so cheaply as they are above the bar and can be noisy. We are passionate about local produce and present a wonderful range of high quality pub food with a focus on local produce and free range ingredients. Our chefs present interesting specials and our wine list focuses on the wonderful wines of Murrindindi and the surrounding regions. Try a local trout from Goulburn River Trout just out of town, or a tasting plate from the local smokehouse at Thornton. We are especially famous for our parmas which are made with only the absolute best fresh local free-range chicken breast, crumbed with our own special crumb and topped with house made ingredients prepared in our own kitchen.
